Money Heist didn’t seem to have the brightest future after the first season, but thanks to fans and Netflix, the show went on to share an incredible journey and was given a proper ending with the final season, divided into two volumes.

Behind the scenes was just as action-packed as the series is. The costumes wound up playing an integral role – costume designer Carlos Diez had the responsibility of giving each character their unique style and tying them all together with the

iconic symbol of the show: the red jumpsuit.
Part of being in such a successful series involves lots of promo and marketing, which led to more fun and chaos for the cast behind the scenes. The marketing shoot in particular was hectic as in the process of capturing tidbits of the show to advertise, a huge mess was made and multiple props destroyed!

In order to make sure the story was done justice in the end, the final season was expanded from the usual 8 episodes to a full 10 that

were then divided into two volumes. The whole process of bringing this last season to life was delayed and made more complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wrapping up the journey of Money Heist has been an emotional experience for many of the performers – some of their careers stepped up to another level and for others, they felt they learned to live by doing the show. While it is an emotional time,

many of the actors were just grateful to have

had the chance to finish the story and continue spending time with their characters since they only really expected to have two seasons and already prepared to say goodbye to the series once.
