Marvel Studios can continue the setup for the Young Avengers joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Hawkeye. The Disney+ series stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and marks the first time that the MCU’s sharpshooter is the focus of a project. In addition to exploring Hawkeye’s life after Avengers: Endgame and his heroics as a normal human, the series also introduces his replacement: Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.
As one of the many new MCU heroes in Phase 4, fans have waited a long time to see Kate Bishop finally join the shared universe. The Hawkeye trailer shows that her story will begin as she wears Barton’s Ronin costume to begin her vigilante career. It is this impersonation that leads her to meet Clint and start her journey to become the MCU’s next Hawkeye. Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed its plans for Kate Bishop beyond the Disney+ series, but she is expected to have a significant role moving forward. One of the ways many believe this will manifest is through the introduction of the Young Avengers team. Kate is one of the original members in the comics, so her MCU introduction is the latest tease that they will form in the near future.
