Diff’hire Strokes is an American tv sitcom, which aired on NBC from 1978, to 1985, and on ABC from 1985, to 7, 1986. The sequence stars Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges as Arnold and Willis Jackson, respectively, two African-American boys from Harlem taken in by a wealthy white Park Avenue businessman and widower, Phillip Drummond (Conrad Bain), for whom their deceased mom beforehand labored, and his daughter, Kimberly (Dana Plato). In the course of the first season and the primary half of the second season, Charlotte Rae additionally starred, as Mrs. Edna Garrett, the Drummonds’ first housekeeper, who finally spun off into her personal sitcom, The Info of Life, as a housemother on the fictional Eastland Faculty. The second housekeeper, Adelaide Brubaker, was performed by Nedra Volz. The third housekeeper, Pearl Gallagher, was performed by Mary Jo Catlett, first showing as a recurring character, later turning into a predominant solid member.
