In Multiverse of Madness, if this leak is true, RDJ will return to his Iron Man in that movie, too. During the final battle, he’ll show up as a different Tony Stark from a world that looks a lot like the MCU’s main world. There, though, it was Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who died in the fight against Thanos (Josh Brolin).
big SPOILER Robert Downey Jr. is back to play a different version of Tony Stark. There is a good reason why Dr Strange can make peace with this version of Tony. They both know what had to happen in Endgame. In his world, Strange died instead of Tony, but that didn’t happen in Tony’s. They all fight Wanda, who is the most powerful person in the multiverse, so they all have to fight each other. This is a hint at Secret Wars.
There are clear signs that this leak might not be real. That won’t stop die-hard fans of the MCU from dreaming about Iron Man’s return in the movie.
