Likewise thanks to the surprise success of the Jason Bourne 6 dream trailer 1 I had to make another one. This time to make this version better I put a lot of time making the plot. But the only way for me to make a good one I needed to take a deep dive into the Bourne franchise. I had to re-watch Jason Bourne (2016) film at least to get an idea. Of course we have to make the plot about Aaron Cross meeting Bourne, which I did this time I made the villain Gerald Butler.
I made it begin picking up right after Jason Bourne film with Heather (now officially the main villain) hires a new asset (Gerald Butler) to take out Jason Bourne. The idea was to make the asset have not only personal vendetta to Bourne but also to Cross (shout out to @Filmento for the idea). One new addition is the Philippines setting, since the last time we saw Cross was there. I made it easy for them to meet by having Bourne go there.
I did couple voice overs like “why do you want me to find Jason Bourne”. Beside the plot, I added “breaking news” edit to further the plot that Bourne is wanted. FORD V FERRARI had cool car scene which I edited to keep it fresh. Part of the fun was imitating the wordings similar to the franchise style, with Jeremy Renner’s name and last mission. The music choice was a no brainer, I had to chose the actual trailer music from Jason Bourne. Overall this was one of the best trailers I’ve made and I can’t wait to do another one!
