As a big fan of Rocky franchise its a great day when I get a chance to edit a Rocky VII trailer. I thought trailer 4 would be the final but I realized that there is still time for a few more trailers before Creed 3 hits theaters next year (there is a chance that the Rocky character may no longer be active in the franchise in the Creed 3 since he is no longer part of the cast). The challenge is to bring the plot of Rocky getting back in the ring to inspire his son in a limited length trailer.
I found clip of Sly signing Rocky autograph that I made to show Rocky still being popular. Then Sly had a clip of wearing the Rocky jacket doing the Rocky voice which I edited to make his son part of the scene. “Rocky’s grown” I made to be about Rocky saying that to his son. Then to establish the plot of Rocky Jr. entering boxing I did the voice over to make it sound like the news. Then “I’m having a hard time since” line from Milo was perfect to introduce the ide of Rocky Jr having a challenge as a boxer. Then to make the idea official, I make a news about Rocky returning to boxing. For the first time I used Sly workout videos to make a scene of Rocky training.
“He’s walked the road before me” line from Milo interview I made about Rocky Jr. talking about his father in the press how his father told him that he experienced boxing before so he understand what he is going through. Then I edited Milo watching TV to Rocky Jr watching his father box again.
