Funeral Arrangements Announced for 2-Year-Old Ava Ann Marie Tabor
The community of De Queen, Arkansas, is mourning the tragic loss of 2-year-old Ava Ann Marie Tabor, who passed away on March 4, 2025, after suffering severe injuries. Born on November 28, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas, Ava was known for her joyful spirit, love of dancing, and helping in the kitchen.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. A visitation will be held the evening before, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the same location.
Authorities have arrested 19-year-old Wesley Davis in connection with Ava’s death. Initially charged with first-degree domestic battery, his charges were upgraded to first-degree murder following Ava’s passing. During a virtual court appearance on March 6, Davis’s bond was set at $1 million, and a no-contact order was issued, preventing him from reaching out to the victim’s family.
Ava’s mother, Kylie Perez, expressed profound grief and a commitment to seeking justice for her daughter, stating, “My baby did not deserve this. And he [Davis] deserves every bad thing that’s coming to him. And I will not stop until he gets it.”
In a final act of compassion, Ava’s family chose to donate her organs, offering the gift of life to others in need.
The community continues to rally around Ava’s family during this difficult time, honoring the memory of a little girl who brought joy and light to those who knew her.
