On Wednesday’s ‘Red Table Talk,’ Jada Pinkett Smith speaks out about her husband, Will Smith, and the actor infamously slapping Chris Rock at the 2021 Oscars.
You’ll recall, Chris made a joke at the awards show about Jada’s hairstyle, which she didn’t find funny because she’s publicly discussed her struggles with alopecia, a hair loss disease.
She sheds light on the effects of alopecia, including how she copes with the autoimmune disorder.

My husband’s actions were inexcusable, and I am deeply sorry to Chris, his family, and all the people watching that night.
I took the joke as a personal attack on my hair loss and I shouldn’t have overreacted.
