[Mis à jour le 3 décembre 2021 à 12h00] It’s over for La Casa de Papel. The last episodes were posted at December 3, 2021 on Netflix. The Spanish series therefore ends at the end of this season 5, which reveals the fate of the robbers, until then stuck in the Bank ofSpain. The fans will have to be made for a reason: a season 6 is not planned and this fifth round of episodes is indeed the last.
However, that does not mean that we will not find the characters of La Casa de Papel in other projects. After this season 5, a spin-off focused on the character of Berlin will see the light of day in 2023. Pedro Alonso will reprise his role, and this new series should probably tell the story of this fan-beloved character. Note also that a Korean remake of La Casa de Papel is in preparation.
An actor shares his disappointment at the end of his character
Fans can finally check out the last part of La Casa de Papel on Netflix. However, this finale could have been different and brought its share of disappointment for one of the actors. Enrique Arce, who plays Arturo, will appear less in the series finale, as he was able to tell TV-Leisure : “In the tenth episode, Arturo was to have a very important role but in the end, the writers wrote a lot and took things away. That part where I was very present has disappeared.”
The actor did not know therefore that he was shooting his last scenes of La Casa de Papel, which left him with a little bitter taste: “I admit that I would have liked to be a little more present but not out of vanity, because that I wanted at all costs that we see my character at the end but above all, because it deprived me of the final party. We feel deprived of this emotion and this sharing between the actors that there was between the actors after the last scenes. “
The platform of streaming has indeed announced that a spin-off series will soon see the light of day: it will focus on the character of Berlin, who died during season 2. We can therefore imagine that this new burst of episodes will tell the past of the brother of the Professor. At the casting, we obviously imagine that Pedro Alonso, who plays Berlin in La Casa de Papel, will be back to play the role that made him popular with the public. The date was also sketched by Netflix on social networks: this series is due out in 2023 and is currently in production.
