CM Punk made his return to WWE in November 2023 at the Survivor Series PLE, more than a decade after his departure in 2014. Since then, he has been involved in feuds with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
Punk recently completed a trilogy feud with Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood. Following the post-Bad Blood episode of Raw, he announced he would be taking some time off and questioned whether he would return, before having a staredown with Rollins.
While Punk is not expected to participate in the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia next month, he plans to return for Survivor Series. During a recent Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select addressed Punk’s contract status, noting that he still has plenty of time left on his deal and that WWE is pleased with his current run.
“Well, his current deal isn’t even a year old. I heard that the two sides were engaged in talks for something more expansive, as things had changed since they put the deal together abruptly. So far, WWE has been very happy with Punk’s return to the company, and everything has gone really well.”
